FAQS
Q: Do you see private patients or have private rooms?
No. I am currently devoted to providing care to patients in the public health system and improving access to elective surgery for all Australian patients, particularly those in a rural setting where access can be particularly difficult.
I have not requested private hospital operating rights (although I am eligible to do so) and have no intention to do so in the near future.
Q: Why do you need a website if you do not have a private practice?
I believe that all patients (private or public) have a right to health care and fair treatment. This includes the right of all patients to know who their surgeon is, feel comfortable with their surgeon and embark on a patient-surgeon journey together.
Q: Can you "treat me" over the internet?
At this stage I cannot provide internet-based consultations. Without a full consultation, it is not appropriate to give advice via email. Please seek medical advice from your own Orthopaedic surgeon or other medical practitioner.
As the website build progresses, we may be able to commence Skype-based consultations for eligible patients who cannot physically access an Orthopaedic surgeon.
